Mad Ants to play in NBA G League Winter Showcase

The Fort Wayne Mad Ants will play their two games in the NBA G League Winter Showcase on Tuesday, December 20 and Thursday, December 22.
The Mad Ants finished 9th overall in the Showcase Cup qualifying season with a 10-6 record, just missing out on the eight-team field that will compete for the Showcase Cup in Las Vegas, Nevada during the Winter Showcase.
Instead, the team will compete on Tuesday against the Santa Cruz Warriors with a 3 p.m. eastern start. The Warriors are not a regular season opponent of the Mad Ants and the two teams have not played since 2021 single site season. Tuesday's game will be broadcast on NBA TV.
The Mad Ants will play again on Thursday with an 8 p.m. eastern start opposite the Oklahoma City Blue. The two teams will meet again during the regular season on February 8 in Indianapolis. Thursday's game will be broadcast through the NBA App.
Both games will be played in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Last year, the Mad Ants qualified for the eight-team Showcase Cup, but fell in the first round to eventual Showcase Cup champion Delaware. In their second Showcase Cup game in 2021, the Mad Ants scored a franchise record 155 points including a franchise record nine three point makes from Gabe York in a win over Wisconsin.
