FORT WAYNE, Ind. - March 18, 2022 - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants, presented by Lutheran Health Network, the NBA G League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, announced today that they have acquired Troy Baxter Jr. from the NBA G League available player pool.

Originally from Tallahassee, Florida, Baxter Jr. finished his college career at Morgan State from 2019-2021 where he was selected to the All-MEAC First Team and the All-Defensive Team. Baxter Jr. has had three stops in the NBA G League this season, with the Windy City Bulls, Wisconsin Herd and, most recently, the Grand Rapids Gold.

He has played 13 games in the NBA G League this regular season, averaging 4.4 points and 2.2 rebounds over 12.1 minutes per game. He also played seven games during the Showcase season, averaging 4.1 points per game for Windy City.

Baxter Jr.'s acquisition helps the Mad Ants fill out their 10-player roster with Justin Anderson receiving a NBA Call Up on Thursday with the Indiana Pacers.
