Mad Ants acquire Samir Doughty

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – February 18, 2022 – The Fort Wayne Mad Ants, presented by Lutheran Health Network, the NBA G League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, announced today that they have acquired Samir Doughty from the available player pool.
Doughty will help fill out the roster for the Mad Ants as Jordan Bell will be with Team USA for FIBA World Cup Qualifying during the next three games after the All-Star break.
Doughty was selected with the 22nd pick in the 2021 NBA G League draft by the Iowa Wolves and traded to the Lakeland Magic. He appeared in 17 games for the Magic, averaging 8.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists.
Before turning pro, Doughty finished his college career at Auburn where he was selected All-SEC First Team by the conference's coaches, leading the Tigers in scoring at 16.7 points per game as a senior.
Doughty will wear number 5 with the Mad Ants.
