McGriff averaged 13.0 points per game during the Tip-off Tournament. He posted the first double-double of the year for the Mad Ants after scoring 21 points and grabbing 10 rebounds on November 10th in Cleveland. He added a second double-double on December 3rd against Grand Rapids.

Throughout the year, the Oklahoma State alum demonstrated a balance between athleticism and stealthy shooting.
