Overview: Hicks, one of the greatest Mad Ant players ever, returned to the team via the draft; his seventh season, at least in part, as a Mad Ant. On December, Hicks surpassed 1,000 made shots as a Mad Ant player. On January 13 in Maine, Hicks scored 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting and became just the sixth player in NBA G League history to score 3,000 or more points with the same franchise; he finished the season with 3,024 career points as a Mad Ant.

On Tuesday, March 12, Hicks became the franchise's leader in all-time games played during the Mad Ants’ 102-99 win over the visiting College Park Skyhawks. That appearance was the 248th appearance as a Mad Ant in his career; he finished the season with 249 career appearances as a Mad Ant.

On March 18, Hicks was named as the inaugural recipient of the franchise's new Ron Howard 'Mr. Mad Ant' Award, named in honor of the franchise's all-time leading scorer. He finished the season averaging 5.1 points per game.

During the course of the 2023-2024 season, Hicks extended his own all-time franchise records in wins (138), total rebounds (1,311), defensive rebounds (876) and offensive rebounds (436). He sits at the top of each of those categories for the 17 year history of the franchise.

Notable Performances:

December 9, 2023: Hicks scored a season best 24 points, adding 11 rebounds while shooting 6-of-8 from three point range in a win at Cleveland.
January 20, 2024: Hicks scored 12 points with six defensive rebounds and two steals in a win at Wisconsin.
