Overview: Tshiebwe became one of the best rebounders in G League history during his rookie season, culminating in him being named NBA G League KIA Rookie of the Year after leading the league in rebounds per game. Tshiebwe broke nearly every Mad Ants rebounding record, including rebounds in a game (28), defensive rebounds in a game (20), rebounds in a season (530), defensive rebounds in a season (330) and offensive rebounds in a season (200).
His 27 double doubles marked the 2nd most in a Mad Ants single season and the third most all-time of a Mad Ant player. He registered seven 20/20 games on the season of the 13 in franchise history. Tshiebwe also has the most 20 or more rebound games in franchise history with eight, while posting the fourth best single season shooting percentage in Mad Ants history at .574 (218-for-380).
Tshiebwe was the 2nd Mad Ant player to ever participate in NBA All-Star activities as part of the Rising Stars game where he had a highlight dunk on Utah Jazz center Walker Kessler. For the final week of the G League regular season (March 25-30), Tshiebwe was named the Player of the Week by the league.
Notable Performances:
November 11, 2023: In his first G League game, Tshiebwe scored 33 points in a road win at Sioux Falls, marking the post points ever scored by a player in their first game as a Mad Ant.
November 22, 2023: Broke the 14 year old Mad Ants single game rebounding record by pulling down 28 rebounds in a home win over the Motor City Cruise.
