Keifer Sykes
Keifer Sykes' NBA Call-Up on December 27, 2021 was a special one. A six-year professional veteran, Sykes' call-up meant the chance to live out his NBA dream for the very first time as a member of the Indiana Pacers. At the time of his call-up, Sykes was leading the NBA G League in assists, helping him earn a rare call-up feat of a contract for the rest of the regular season. He was ultimately waived on April 7 just as the NBA season was coming to a close.
During that time, Sykes appeared in 32 games, starting 11 of them. He played 17.7 minutes per game with the Pacers, averaging 5.6 points and 1.9 assists per game.
One of the biggest highlights of Sykes' time as a call-up with the Pacers came on January 21, 2022 when he helped propel the Pacers to an upset of eventual NBA Champion Golden State in overtime. Sykes contributed five points to a 10-0 burst in overtime that led to a 121-117 win.
