Alex Poythress

On April 2, 2017, Alex Poythress earned his NBA Call-Up with the Phildelphia 76ers using a Hardship Roster Exception with a rash of injuries in Philadelphia.

Prior to the call-up, he played the 2016-17 season with the Mad Ants of the then D-League, averaging 18.6 points and 7.0 rebounds on his way to an All-Star selection.

He made his NBA debut the same day he signed with the 76ers, scoring 11 points in 24 minutes off the bench in a 113–105 loss to the Toronto Raptors. On April 11, 2017, he signed with the 76ers for the remainder of the season. Poythress made six appearances with the 76ers that season, starting once while averaging 10.7 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.
