Fort Wayne Mad Ants acquire returning player rights to Deonte Burton in trade with Northern Arizona Suns

FORT WAYNE (October 20, 2017) – The Fort Wayne Mad Ants, presented by Lutheran Health Network, the NBA G League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, announced they have acquired the returning player rights of Deonte Burton from the Northern Arizona Suns in exchange for a 2018 NBA G League Draft second round pick.

Burton played for the Bakersfield Jam during the 2015-16 season, averaging 9.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 26.4 minutes per contest. The Los Angeles, Calif. native started all 130 games in his four seasons at the University of Nevada-Reno form 2010-14 and is one of two players to score over 2,000 points in program history.

Fort Wayne currently owns four draft picks in the 2017 NBA G League Draft, which will take place Saturday, Oct. 21.
