Ron Howard assumed the role of Community Development Manager with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in August 2017. He will assist the Mad Ants in widening the involvement in the community through various initiatives. In conjunction with his position with the Mad Ants, Howard will continue in his role at Lutheran Health Network and OPS helping young athletes improve in all facets of all sports.

Howard’s No. 19 hangs from the rafters in the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum after a storied playing career for the team spanning 2007-14. He retired as the then D-League all-time leading scorer and was twice named the Jason Collier Sportsman of the Year. The Chicago native helped the Mad Ants claim their only D-League championship in the 2013-14 season. He is the only Mad Ant to have his number retired.
